CC, the smaller of the duo, finds comfort atop her much larger buddy, Chewbacca, often curling up beside him near their kennel. Chewbacca, ever the gentle giant, doesn’t seem to mind at all, and the two relish each other’s company.
Their journey together faced a hurdle when a newborn with allergies arrived in their previous home, leading to their relocation to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa. Fortunately, the shelter kept them together, honoring their deep bond.
Observers have been charmed by their close relationship. On jaunts outside the shelter, CC and Chewbacca stay close, even cozying up to one another during car rides.
They walk side by side and treat each other with affection; CC comfortably settles on Chewbacca as if he’s a cushion, despite their size disparity.
