Last week, a distressing situation was brought to light through Pawtcake’s WhatsApp line. A dog was found in a deserted building, dragging a long cable around his neck, with an enormous tumor that was hard to miss.
The animal appeared frightened and sought refuge behind a panel inside the hollow structure. The circumstances suggested that he was likely abandoned due to the conspicuous growth on his body.
Concerned rescuers took action by tempting the dog out of hiding with food. Driven by hunger, he followed the scent, allowing them to safely capture and care for him.

Following this, they immediately transported him to a veterinary clinic for a much-needed medical evaluation.
Upon examination, the vets discovered that the tumor weighed at least 12 pounds. They quickly scheduled a surgical procedure for the very next day.

Remarkably, the surgery went smoothly, thanks in part to the dog’s resilience and bravery throughout the process.
Seeing the tumor successfully removed was a joyful moment for all involved. It served as a heartening reminder of the importance of lending a helping hand to innocent animals in distress.
