A tiny puppy, not yet two months old, was found abandoned on a street in a very fragile condition. This little dog had endured broken legs and a damaged spine, leaving him unable to move on his own.
Despite his challenging situation, the puppy demonstrated a strong desire for affection.
When I arrived, the puppy, who was later named Clark, bravely wagged his tail in hopes of receiving a comforting hug, even though he was in considerable pain from his injuries.

In addition to broken bones, Clark was severely undernourished and extremely anemic.
The veterinarian who treated him was shocked by the severity of Clark’s condition. He also had trouble urinating, possibly due to a condition similar to polio, which required the uncomfortable process of urinary catheterization to ease his discomfort.
Clark faced a series of major surgeries, and we were determined to support him every step of the way on his journey to recovery.

His health challenges were further complicated by difficulties in having regular bowel movements, calling for additional medical care.
Clark’s charming spirit made the difficult treatment process easier, motivating us to keep pushing forward.

Remarkably, Clark began showing signs of improvement and gained a kilogram in weight. The next crucial step in his recovery was a spine surgery scheduled for the following week, which we hoped would greatly improve his mobility.
The surgery was a success, offering a hopeful outlook for Clark’s ongoing recovery.
